Global non-profit CDP recognizes SOLiD sustainability efforts
SOLiD, the in-building cellular coverage leader, has been recognized by global environmental non-profit CDP for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change, securing a place on CDP’s respected ‘A’ List. Being named on the annual A List places SOLiD among the top 4 percent of companies scored by CDP.
The rapid evolution of the globally complex telecoms industry all too often leads to careless obsolescence and a “rip and replace” mentality, resulting in a massive waste of materials. SOLiD takes a smarter path by designing sustainable distributed antenna system (DAS) equipment that supports upgrades and expansion to meet changing requirements. Achieving an ‘A’ on the CDP list affirms this strategy, and places SOLiD among the global leaders demonstrating comprehensive disclosure, mature environmental governance, and meaningful progress towards environmental resilience.
“At SOLiD, we have a history of offering reliable, sustainable solutions that contribute to a greener planet, and we are honored to be recognized on CDP’s A List as a global leader in climate change transparency,” said Scott Deweese, president of SOLiD Americas. “Climate change disclosure is vital to taking meaningful action toward building an Earth-positive future. By disclosing through CDP, we’re providing critical data to deliver the changes our planet and economy urgently need.”
“Congratulations to all companies on CDP’s A List. Businesses earning an ‘A’ score are proving that environmental ambition and commercial strength go hand in hand,” said Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP. “High-quality data gives leaders the confidence to make earth-positive decisions that secure long-term competitiveness, attract capital and safeguard natural systems. These organizations show what is possible when transparency becomes the foundation for action.”
CDP operates the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system and is widely relied on to guide investment and procurement decisions that support a net-zero, sustainable and earth-positive global economy. CDP’s scoring draws on a rigorous and independent methodology, aligned with the TCFD framework. It evaluates companies’ depth of reporting, understanding of environmental risks, and evidence of best practice – including ambitious target-setting and verified action.
